The Canadian Journalism Collective – Collectif Canadien de Journalisme (CJC-CCJ) is looking for journalism students to work as verification agents verifying the eligibility of funding applications for the Canadian Journalism Collective.

Under the supervision of the verification team lead, selected individuals will undergo rigorous training to understand the Online News Act, CJC-CCJ’s Eligibility Policy and the verification process.

Conditions:

  • 20 hours per week for a period of three months starting July 1. Possibility of staying on after September.
  • $25/hour
  • Available for meetings between 11am ET and 5pm ET
  • Remote work using online collaboration tools (Slack)

• Strong computer skills and knowledge of broadcast technology;
• Excellent written and verbal communication in French (and English a plus) coupled with the ability to share complex ideas/concepts with a diverse audience;
• A valid driver’s license and clear driver’s abstract – since you’ll be travelling to obtain your exciting stories.

3-Month Paid Position at CBC Edmonton

Three-month paid opportunity this summer at CBC Edmonton for students who are graduating this spring or have graduated over the fall/winter.
