Fresh Ice Hockey is seeking enthusiastic and passionate individuals to join our media team for our annual international youth hockey tournaments. Students and recent graduates in Journalism, Communications, Broadcasting, Media Studies, or related programs are encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate will help bring our events to life through live game commentary, player interviews, and media coverage, providing young athletes and their families with a memorable professional-style experience.
Our tournaments welcome players from across Canada, the United States, and Europe and feature multiple games each day in a fast-paced, exciting environment.
Location: Cité du Sport Arena, Terrebonne, Quebec
Dates: July 9-19, 2026 (approximately 10 working days)
Position Type: Temporary Contract
Compensation: Paid contract opportunity
Responsibilities
* Provide live play-by-play commentary during hockey games.
* Assist with player and coach interviews.
* Support livestream and broadcast production.
* Help create an engaging atmosphere for players and spectators.
* Work collaboratively with the Fresh Ice Hockey media team throughout the event.
Qualifications
* Strong communication and public speaking skills.
* Interest in sports broadcasting, journalism, communications, or media production.
* Hockey knowledge is considered an asset.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and cover multiple games per day.
* Bilingual (English/French) candidates are welcomed, but applicants who speak primarily English or French are also encouraged to apply.
