GoFundMe’s Canadian team is currently looking for an experienced communications contractor to join us on a remote, contract basis.
This role is a little different from a typical tech comms position. GoFundMe’s mission is helping people help each other, and our communications team lives that every day. The contractor we’re bringing on will be working directly with Canadians at some of their most difficult moments, connecting their stories with media across the country to build awareness and drive real impact. It’s meaningful, purpose-driven work that’s hard to find elsewhere in the industry.
The ideal candidate has:
– 2+ years of independent or freelance experience in communications or journalism
– Strong media relationships and editorial judgment
– The ability to own a significant scope of work with autonomy
– Bonus: written and verbal French
