Radio IDS Montréal is a hyperlocal web radio station serving Verdun and Nuns’ Island in Montreal.
With the Quebec provincial election campaign beginning this fall, we would like to welcome one or more Concordia journalism students for an internship or field placement during the Fall 2026 semester.
This would provide students with hands-on experience covering a real election campaign at the local level. Activities could include researching local issues, preparing and conducting interviews with candidates, field reporting, fact-checking, producing news and audio segments, covering political and community events, and participating in our election-night coverage.
As a hyperlocal media outlet, Radio IDS offers students direct contact with candidates, elected officials, community organizations, businesses and residents, with opportunities to produce work that will actually be broadcast.
